ABSTRACT

Sexual violence it’s a violation of human dignity, with serious immediate and late consequences, with no geographic limitations, but with higher prevalence in countries with low income. Both genders are victimized, although there is predominance in females. In general, individuals younger than 18 are in greater risk. This study aims to show the results of sexological examination following allegations of sexual violence in children and teenagers, based on data from medical reports of the Legal Medical Institutes of the State of São Paulo in 2017. The analysis included 13.870 reports, in which 10.480 were female victims (average age 13) and 3.390 men (average age 8). Considering only reports of victims younger than 18, 8.443 reports were of female victims, with greater incidence between 12 and 13 years old, and 2.387 of male victims, with greater incidence between 3 and 6 years old. The evidence of violence was possible only in a small group. The data of this study shows that children under 12 years old are the most vulnerable victims of sexual violence, especially girls. Despite the high incidence of alleged sexual abuse, the results of sexological exams were very limited in registering supporting elements, a fact recorded in medical literature.
