Neste artigo, são apresentados sete casos de mortes necropsiadas em postos da Polícia Científica do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, tendo como causa a ação, em tese, defeituosa de airbags. Seis dos casos avaliados apresentam um padrão único de lesões penetrantes causadas por, em tese, mau funcionamento de airbag, resultando na implantação de um fragmento metálico de componente do inflador.
