In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation acted as an agent to boost the rates related to domestic and family violence against women, considering the increase of some worrying indicators about domestic violence. OBJECTIVES: To expose Brazilian data about this issue, in view of the aggravation of this type of violence. METHODOLOGY: Bibliographic and documental.
